Kathleen Le Roux has worked as a therapeutic clown practitioner at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto for 6 years, is a founding member of the Canadian Association of Therapeutic Clowns and is now busily building a team of professional therapeutic clown artists to work with seniors and children as Dr Clowns in Toronto. She is a graduate of Queen's University Drama, the National Theatre School of Canada's Directing Program and The Loose Moose International Improvisation School in Calgary.

With a background in theatre, improvisational comedy, and children's television, Kathleen has produced and directed numerous theatre productions in Kingston, Ontario, has taught improvisational comedy at the Second City Training Centre and has worked for 10 years in various capacities, both on-air and behind the camera, for Treehouse TV.

Kathleen has studied clown technique for 7 years with world-renowned trainers John Turner and Michael Kennard (Mump&Smoot), Philippe Gaulier, Karen Hines, Grindl Kuchirka, and most recently with Francine Cote in Montreal.

Kathleen has been a frequent performer in Toronto theatres, and comedy cabarets but her true calling is to apply her many skills and talents to the work of therapeutic clowning, contributing to health and healing through empowering play, compassionate care and gentle humour.
